e-commerce is the fastest growing consumer sector with some of the largest UK companies operating solely on the internet.

Your website is running, the traffic is increasing, but you want to do more a market your business.

 Some basic ideas:

Ensure your website address is prominently positioned on business cards, stationary, company vehicles, advertising and signage.

Consider links or banner advertising with specialist web sites or Google. If you have colleagues or friends with sites, run banner adds for each other.

Collect e-mail addresses.

Produce a regular e-zine with articles on business news including successful contracts, new products, website updates, staff promotions and white papers/application notes. e-mail the e-zine to customers and potential customers with links to the relevant parts of the website.

If you attend a trade show or other event, run a competition to win a prize in exchange for a business card - complete with an e-mail address.

Run a competition through the website with the entry requiring the inclusion of the e-mail address.
